| Teaching By Example How do we share Christ's love with children and teach them what it means to be a Christian? In Exploring Faith with Families, Susan Willhauk answers, Mostly we do it by example. We reach out to them, show them we care about them, make them a priority, talk with them about God's love, and tell them the stories of Jesus. It is my prayer that together we set an example that influences our children to live for Jesus all the days of their lives.
Church Anxiety Do your children have special needs as related to their involvement with children's groups at the church? Missing a best friend? Anxious about separating from parents? Not sure when you will pick them up? Talk with me if you need a bit of support for any reason!
Children's Church at 10:45 worship is a time of fellowship with friends for our children. After attending Sunday School, then participating in worship for almost 30 minutes, they are ready to enjoy each other and table games in Children's Church. I think a more appropriate name for our time together is Faith Friends, because Children's Church is one of our best opportunities for kids to get to know other church kids, while giving them more months or years to develop the ability to sit still and listen through a sermon. Children attending children's church should be willing to participate in Children's Time in worship.
Sunday Morning Parent Helpers Watch for the list of parent helpers for 10:45 worship and Children's Church to be in a separate mailing.
